Curriculum Vision:
At Linden Lodge School, we provide a holistic and dynamic curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of every pupil. Our approach ensures that every aspect of the school day is maximised as a meaningful learning opportunity. Our curriculum is designed to stretch and challenge pupils, fostering autonomy in their learning journey and promoting independence. Interdisciplinary teams of professionals work collaboratively to deliver an engaging, sequenced, and highly coherent curriculum that values and celebrates each pupil’s individuality.
We aim for our curriculum to be…
Curriculum Specialism
Linden Lodge School is a sensory-specialist provision, with the ‘+’ in our curriculum representing the seamless integration of our specialisms across all areas of learning. Each pupil’s sensory needs are met through a range of specialised approaches that support, develop, and nurture their access to learning. We incorporate the Curriculum Framework for Vision Impairment (CFVI) into our daily practice, resulting in an access-based curriculum that actively promotes independence. These specialisms are delivered by our highly skilled staff within a unique learning environment, enabling pupils to benefit from a personalized teaching and learning approach that maximises their progress.
In addition to delivering a rich curriculum, we are committed to fostering autonomy in the following key areas:
- Physical autonomy
- Social autonomy
- Life skills and independence
